My kids loved The Twits by Roald Dahl. And they LOVE The Magic Tree House Series. Charlotte's Web was another that we devoured. Frog and Toad are great early readers if Charlie is getting to where he is sounding out some words, as is Little Bear.Hooray for chapter books for bedtime!!
So fun! I was thinking about doing that soon with Dylan too, can't wait!
James and the Giant Peach was one of my most favorite books ever when I was a kid! I remember having dreams about being "in the book" with them- my mind was definitely expanded! :) You guys are awesome about your reading!
