The Last Week

My mom is here visiting which has been great. Even more great than usual since Adam has been so busy studying for the bar. Today we went to the National Cathedral. What a beautiful building!

Charlie and Mimi are becoming little buddies. Yesterday Charlie rolled over to Mimi and put his arm around her and she actually let him. Mimi also kept nuzzling/cuddling him. So cute!

It's a little hard to tell, but Charlie and Mimi are looking at each other through the tube. I really wish I could see the looks on their faces.

Bath time!

Charlie is standing more and more and sometimes he even cruises along the futon. I think it'll still be a while before he's walking but it's a good reminder that I need to get ready for it!

Crawling

Charlie has learned to crawl. What better motivation could he have than his best friend Mimi? Unfortunately we've learned that our house is definitely not baby proof. Sigh...

Foosball Tournament

Adam loves to play foosball and he is very good at it. We went to a foosball tournament on July 5th. Adam and his partner Stephen were the two-time reining champions but their dynasty did not last. They only took second place this year. But they played very well and are already planning their champtionship for next year. Ashley and I mostly went to spectate but we ended up playing one game where we definitely held our own (but no we did not win). Good times.

Independence Day

We went to Arlington National Cemetery to watch the fireworks. They were pretty great except for the cloud of smoke that always seemed to be in front of them. :( It was a great night even with the rain that kept us huddled under our umbrellas for some of the night. One of our friends that we went with somehow convinced us that it would be faster to walk to a different metro stop than to wait in line so we ended up walking about 3 miles afterward. For some of us (me) this is a (very) long walk. But hey I survived!
