Charlie waking up

First he's swaddled.

As soon as his arms are free he does this BIG stretch.
And as soon as he's done stretching his hands promptly enter his mouth.
Every morning in exactly this order. What a cutie!

First time at the beach and ocean

We drove up the coast to more family-friendly Hollywood Beach. Just lovely!

First Charlie was unsure about the water.
Then he hated it.
Alot.

Then he didn't mind it so much.

And by the end he loved it!
And he also love laying in the sand and kicking his feet, but I apparently neglected to get a picture of that. :(

Miami Trip

Charlie's very first plane ride! He slept the whole way. The way back was not quite so wonderful. The 90 minute delay on take-off didn't help matters...

Isn't this a cute little bathtub for travel? The first night he hated it but by the end he loved it as much as his regular tub.

Finally a chance to wear this adorable beach outfit! Thanks to Megan and Fa'a for bringing it to us straight from Hawaii!

We spent a lovely day in Bayside. I promise Charlie did have fun despite his scowls. Isn't his sunhat funny?

Charlie loves being "worn" any which-way.

Charlie's current most favorite thing is when Adam gives him a kiss-attack (loads of kisses all over his face and head). It's almost certain to elicit on of Charlie's rare giggles - definitely a treat. We'll see what we can do about getting a video on here (hint hint Adam).

Yes, you do see that sign correctly. If you're looking for a new place to live you can always check out the Colon Apts. Hmm...

South Beach was pretty but a little too crazy for us family folk. We stayed for half-price dinner during happy hour (this is where the non-drinking Mormons win!) and then walked a bit. By the end Charlie was totally falling asleep...

We drove down to the Keys and walked though a forest before going on a glass-bottom boat tour. Charlie's first boat ride! By the end Charlie wasn't the only one who was sleepy.

Doesn't he look a little like an elf in this picture?
